Army of Darkness

Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas.

Here is the finale to the cult classic Evil Dead series. Army of darkness (1993) was also released under some other names including:

Army of Darkness, the Ultimate Experience in Medieval Horror
Army of Darkness: Evil Dead 3
Bruce Campbell Vs. Army of Darkness (UK) (video title)

Either way, Army of Darkness is the third and last part in of the Evil Dead trilogy masterminded by the genius director Sam Raimi. Once again, starring Bruce Campbell as the punished hero Ash. A quite ordinary guy who works as a clerk in a store called "S-Mart". Per the ending of the second film, Ash gets sucked into a evil vortex and ends up in medieval England, equipped only with a shotgun and a chainsaw along side his beat-up Oldsmobile.

There he must retrieve the now classic Necronomicon from an ancient graveyard in order to create a passage back to his own time. Unfortunately he fails to correctly pronounce the spell that unlocks the curse over the book, which results in the awakening of an army of undead warriors You say you’ve heard those words before? Right! from the film The Day The Earth Stood Still, Raimi borrows the words “Klaatu Barada Nikto” as the spell which Ash must recite. This movie has some hilarious scenes as Campbell delivers his unique slapstick style against the Deadites, and even against a split off evil twin. Greg Nicotero returns to deliver the special effects goods as Ted Raimi also cameos once again.

I have heard about an alternate ending where Ash drinks the magic potion to send him back to his own time, but ends up sleeping 100 years too long. When he awakens, the world has been devastated by nuclear holocaust. The futuristic holocaust ending was supposedly Raimi's original intended ending but studios wouldn’t allow it. The powers- that-be decided that the general public would not be happy with an ending that showed destruction and left things unfinished. Therefore, the happier ending was used for most cinematic releases. The alternate ending is available on the Japanese laserdisc titled Captain Supermarket and on the Australian video released as Army of Darkness: Special Edition. I have not been able to verify if the alternate ending is also on the American 2003 release titled Army of Darkness: Boomstick Edition.

Hail to the king baby.

Also, for my birthday I did get to see the final episode of Geroge Lucas' epic saga.
Perfect! That was the first word that came to mind at 10:20pm Tuesday night 5/24 as the credits rolled following the ending of "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith"

"Hey hey hey!
But I like it when that lightening comes
Hey hey hey!
Yes I like it alot
Hey hey hey!
Yes I'm jumping like a jumping jack
Dancing screaming itching squealing fevered
Feeling hot hot hot!!!
